Honourable Delegates and Esteemed Guests,
As the Secretary‑General and Director‑General of DENMUN’26, we are delighted to welcome you, on behalf of the entire DENMUN team, to our conference. It is our sincere hope that we will provide you with a conference experience enriched by meaningful discussions, diplomatic engagement, and constructive debate aimed at finding innovative solutions to global challenges.
After a long break, we are incredibly pleased to be organising this event once again. Reviving DENMUN after such an extended pause has been both emotional and exciting for all of us. This year, as we proudly host the sixth edition of our conference, it feels less like simply organising another MUN and more like restoring a cherished tradition that holds a profound place in our school’s history.
We hope that DENMUN’26 offers each participant the opportunity not only to collaborate on addressing some of the most pressing issues in international politics but also to develop a deeper understanding of diverse cultures, conflicts, and perspectives that may not yet have been considered. We recognise that MUN is far more than just two days of debate; it is a platform for connecting with others, gaining new viewpoints on global issues, and, most importantly, exercising the invaluable right to express yourself.
The journey of DENMUN has not been without its challenges, and it has certainly had its ups and downs. Despite these obstacles, our academic and organisation teams have worked tirelessly—day and night to present you with the best conference experience possible. Each of our committees has been chosen with great thought and care, with the hope that the topics will contribute to shaping delegates’ worldviews, broadening their horizons, and offering a meaningful platform for sharing ideas.
Although the conference spans only two days, we have full confidence in our delegates’ ability to complete their committee work successfully. Over the course of DENMUN’26, we encourage you to challenge ideas, speak with confidence, listen with respect, and above all, enjoy every moment. Whether this is your first MUN or your tenth, we truly hope that DENMUN’26 becomes an experience you will always remember.
