The effective and consistent application of international law by all states is essential for maintaining international peace, security, and justice. The principles of sovereign equality, respect for human rights, and compliance with international obligations play a crucial role in sustaining the global legal order.
The United Nations International Law Commission (ILC) aims to strengthen international legal norms, prevent violations, and enhance cooperation among states.
On the first day, delegates will discuss the issues outlined above within the framework of their respective countries’ policies.
On the second day, participants will continue examining these matters through the lens of national positions, work toward identifying common ground, and collaborate on drafting a comprehensive resolution.
